Pop-Up Art Event on Main Street “Main Street Art Market” Bringing Art Back to Second Saturday: A New Chapter in Bay Saint Louis The Second Saturday Artwalk in Bay Saint Louis, MS, began in the early 1990s thanks to local gallery owners Jerry Dixon and Keith Karlson. Their goal was simple but powerful: to showcase the city’s growing number of local artists and their work. In those early years, nearly a dozen shops and galleries participated, staying open late, hosting new exhibits, and welcoming art lovers to explore the Bay’s vibrant creative scene. In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, the Artwalk took on even deeper meaning.
